The 1400 Digital Temperature Monitoring System is
ideal for use with large lime recovery, cement and
alumina Kilns as well as industrial dryers and
incinerators for hazardous waste disposal. It is
designed to provide internal temperature data that
can be vital in a variety of applications.
The 1400 features a digital transmitter mounted on
the exterior of the rotating surface to constantly
monitor and transmit data from thermocouples mounted
inside the kiln. The system uses inductive power so
that temperatures can be obtained continuously from
rotating equipment without the use of wires or
batteries. |

The
Model
1420A Power Module Assembly consists of a tunable
power amplifier that is mounted in an enclosure. The
enclosure is mounted on a frame that contains a
multicoil winding that is used to provide operating
power to the transmitter. The winding acts as the
primary of an air core transformer operating at 160 kHz
and the rotating antenna is the secondary. The frame is
mounted in-line with the rotating antenna on a radial
from the center of the kiln. Power to drive the coil is
provided by the receiver. |
|
Rotating
Antenna: |
|
| |
The
Model
1427A Rotating Antenna Assembly consists of a
stainless-steel strap structure which supports a brass
antenna approximately six inches from the outer shell.
The antenna is assembled using pairs of stainless-steel
springs to join sections. The springs maintain tension
as the shell expands and contracts during periods of
warm-up and cooling. |
|
Stationary Antenna: |
|
| |
The
Model
1408A Stationary Antenna Assembly consists of a
segmented wip antenna and tuning assembly that receives
the data signal from the transmitter and routes this
signal via a coaxial cable to the receiver. The Model
1401B is generally not used on full size kilns and
requires substantially more user involvement to set up.
However, in unique situations it is available. The 1401B
system consists of the following: |

Model 1411B |
Power Tuning Unit(PTU) |
| |
The 1418BU
Transmitter has the same specifications as the
1418B.
The differences are in the size and construction. The
1442B
Receiver is the same as is used in the
1400B.
The 1411B PTU consists of
impedance matching circuits and switch adjustable
capacitors which are mounted on a stationary enclosure
near the stationary antenna. The unit receives power
from the receiver by cable and provides the induction
power to the transmitter via the antennas.
The antenna arrangement
is unique to each project. |

Model 1700
Digital Motor Temperature Monitor and Alarm System |
The
1400 digital temperature monitoring system is ideal for
use with large lime recovery, cement and alumina kilns
as well as industrial dryers and incinerators for
hazardous waste disposal. |
The
1700 Systems are designed as safety instruments for
large motors (350 HP and larger). The Systems monitor 6
customer set temperature points, either RTD's or
Thermocouples and provide an alarm for over-temperature
conditions. |
Model TMS 9000
Rotary Torque Measurement System |
|
The
TMS 9000 torque measurement system represents an
advanced generation of rotary transformer sensors
designed to operate entirely in the digital domain for
enhanced accuracy and versatility. The TMS 9000 series
physically integrates rotor electronics and telemetry
into one element, with all set-up and output controlled
through computer software. |
